Biloela
is a thriving town approximately 1½ hours from Rockhampton and 1
hours drive from Gladstone.
The town is situated in the
fertile Callide Valley with the Valley producing some of the
best cattle in Queensland, amongst the best farming country as
well.
Biloela is a very stable town
with multiple industries, including Callide and Boundary Hill
Coal mines, Callide A, B and C Power Stations (which supplies
approximately 25% of power to the Queensland grid), Teys Bros
Export Meat Works, Banana Shire Council headquarters, Large
Grain Board plus many add on and private industries.
Biloela boasts a large Woolworths
Shopping Centre as well as a large CBD.
Education
includes preschools and kindergartens, 3 primary schools and 1
secondary school, modern hospital, all sporting facilities
(including large PCYC) and most church denominations.
Biloela is serviced by good
doctors, dentists, accountants, 3 car dealerships and is very
parochial and clean.
Biloela is also home to most of
the employees of the Ammonium Nitrate Plant at Moura.
